US AFRICOM’s Deputy Commander, Lieutenant General John Brennan, US Special Operations Command Africa Commander, Rear Admiral Ronald Foy, and Chargé d’Affaires Jeremy Berndt met with Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, General Mohamed Haddad, the Vice Chief, and Service Chiefs on Tuesday in Tripoli.
TheUS embassy in Libya said that the meeting’s attendees agreed to continue to expand cooperation in exercises, education, and exchanges with all Libyan military professionals and to work together with eastern, western, and southern security actors toward unity to help Libyans protect their borders and sovereignty.
