In a virtual meeting on Tuesday, the Libyan Interior Minister, Khaled Mazen, briefed the US ambassador, Richard Norland, on the Interior Ministry’s preparations for the security of elections on December 24.
According to statement by the US embassy on Twitter, Mazen and Norland also discussed prospects for expanded US cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.
Ambassador Norland also welcomed the Libyan Interior Minister’s commitment to “reintegrate militias” and to ensure border security on Libya’s southern and western borders.
