US condemns car bomb attack in Libya’s Sabha

The United States has strongly condemned the car bomb attack in Libya’s Sabha that claimed the lives of at least two Criminal Investigation Apparatus officers on Sunday.

The US said in a statement issued by its embassy on Monday that the attack reminds all stakeholders that there are forces determined to undermine stability and unity in Libya.

“We will stand with those committed to building a more peaceful and prosperous future for Libya, including by holding elections in December, unifying the country’s institutions, countering terrorism, and working toward full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.” The US embassy indicated.

Two criminal investigation apparatus officers were killed and four others were injured in a car bomb explosion that targeted Sunday a checkpoint in Al-Maziq crossroad, northern Sabha, in south Libya.
