The US special envoy ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, has confirmed that his country wants to send a strong message to all stakeholders that elections in Libya must be held on time next December.
In a recorded speech at the opening of the media center of the Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Norland said Libyans should take the opportunity and lead their country to regaining sovereignty and unity via elections.
He added that the US welcomes the opening of the media center of the HNEC to cover the elections process and register voters for the upcoming democratic event.
