West Coast Military Zone targets hubs of drug and fuel trafficking in Al-Zawiya

The West Coast Military Zone announced on Sunday that drones had carried out airstrikes targeting a drug trafficking site and another site used to sell fuel illicitly. Circulating footage showed the moment of storming the most prominent drug trafficking dens in Al-Zawiya, where military teams demolished buildings and removed doors using heavy machinery and vehicles.

The Zone explained in a statement that these operations coincided with the entry of its forces into all areas and neighborhoods of the city of Al-Zawiya and their deployment there. It reiterated that all civilians must stay away from suspicious places and dens due to the continuation of military operations.

It also called on all citizens to cooperate and communicate with it to report any suspicious dens or outlaw groups to take the necessary measures against them.

This operation continues for the second day in a row under the command of the Ministry of Defense to pursue smuggling gangs and eliminate drug and crime networks in the West Coast districts, especially Al-Zawiya.
