The Central Bank: The online foreign currency reservation platform returns to work after a cyber attack

The Central Bank of Libya announced that the online platform for reserving foreign currency for individuals was subjected to a “cyber attack” last Monday that denied services, which affected the ability to access the platform.

The Central Bank added that its team was able to confront this attack by preventing access to the system via any network address registered outside the country and that the platform has been operating normally since the attack was stopped.

It has reported that more than 17,000 reservations were made on “Monday alone” with a total value of $68 million, while reservations reached 17,200 transactions on Tuesday, with a total value of $65 million.
