The media office of the High Council of State (HCS), which is affiliated with Khalid Al-Mishri, confirmed that the HCS voted to adopt the opinion of the Legal Committee on the disputed ballot paper by 67 votes out of 77 votes from the present members, against two votes rejecting and 8 abstaining.
It added that the elections for the HCS Presidency Office resumed and voting took place to choose “Naji Mukhtar” as first deputy and “Omar Al-Obeidi” as second deputy.
“The United Nations Support Mission in Libya attended the session of the HCS Presidency elections today as an observer.” The media office added.
It also said that the session was suspended by postponing the election of the rapporteur to a later session.
