Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, discussed with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, the reopening of the British consular section in Libya to facilitate visa procedures.
The meeting, which was attended by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taher Al-Baour, discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and resume direct flights between Libya and the United Kingdom (UK).
The two sides discussed the file of the return of British oil companies to work in Libya to support the energy sector and economic development.
They also touched on developments in the situation in Libya, as the ambassador renewed his country’s support for efforts aimed at achieving stability by moving toward elections.
Dbeibah stressed the keenness of the Government of National Unity to enhance cooperation with the UK in various fields, praising the British role in supporting stability and development in Libya.
