A Starlink trail of satellites formed a shiny line over the skies of Libya on Tuesday, according to a statement by the Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences.
The satellites are part of the Elon Musk’s SpaceX company. The trail contained 34 satellites and passed in the skies on a low altitude so it was noticed in the naked eye by Libyans at night.
Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, providing satellite Internet access coverage to 40 countries. It also aims for global coverage with satellite personal communications service after 2023. SpaceX started launching Starlink satellites in 2019.
