Interior Minister reviews obstacles in Libya in a meeting with Turkish President Erdogan in Istanbul

The Libyan Interior Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fathi Bashagha has met with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul and discussed the latest developments of the Libyan status quo.

Bashagha, according to an exclusive source speaking to Libya Alahrar, visited Turkey after his lightening visit to Rome on Thursday to meet with a US delegation to discuss the latest political and military conditions in Libya.

In Istanbul, Bashagha met with Erdogan and with the Defense Ministers of both Turkey and Qatar, according to Libya Alahrar TV’s source.

Meanwhile, sources told Libya Alahrar TV on Friday evening that Italy’s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte had sent the Head of Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj a formal invitation to visit Rome.

It’s worth noting that Al-Sarraj rejected to visit Rome on Wednesday as Conte received Khalifa Haftar on the same day, citing inappropriate timing and saying he wouldn’t be in the same place with the aggressor.
