Itamilradar website, which is specialized in monitoring military aircraft, depicted and tracked Saturday afternoon a Russian Air Force Tupolev Tu-154M at 12:37 CET leaving Latakia AB, Syria, for Benghazi, Libya, where it landed around 15:15 CET.
The website said Saturday that this is the third time that it has tracked a Russian Air Force Tupolev landing in Benghazi in two weeks.
“In the past, the aircraft made a stop in Latakia but its original departure airport was Moscow Chalovskij.” the website added.
“We don’t know the nature of this flight which is becoming almost regular.” Italmilradar said.
Two weeks ago, Itamilradar depicted and tracked a United Arab Emirates Air Force Boeing C-17A Globemaster in flight over western Egypt before entering into Libyan airspace and disappearing.
