Libya’s Acting Foreign Minister, US Chargé d’Affaires discuss latest developments

‎The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, during which they exchanged views on developments in Libya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the meeting had discussed the latest political developments in Libya, in addition to exchanging views on the latest developments on the local scene, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Al-Baour stressed the “support of the Government of National Unity for efforts to strengthen the political track in the country,” reiterating “the importance of uniting national and international efforts to achieve Libya’s aspirations in building a prosperous democratic state.”

Berndt expressed the United States’ continued support for achieving peace and stability in Libya, which would contribute to achieving the Libyan people’s vision for a better future.
