Libya’s Foreign Ministry denies reopening file of “border demarcation” with Tunisia

The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that the file of “demarcating the Libyan-Tunisian borders” had been completely closed more than a decade ago, through a joint committee between the two countries, and that it has since become a stable and fixed file that is not open for discussion or reconsideration.

It is noteworthy that the Tunisian Minister of Defense had spoken about the issue of re-demarcating the borders with Libya, saying that a joint Tunisian-Libyan committee is discussing this issue, adding that his country “will not give up any inch of the national territory.”
