The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) has welcomed the support of the United States (US) and its calls for an immediate lifting of the blockade on Libyan oil production.
The NOC added on Wednesday in a tweet that it also welcomed the withdrawal of all armed groups from NOC installations and facilities.
The White House said ina statement for the National Security Adviser Ambassador Robert C. O’Brien that Washington calls on all parties – both those responsible for the current escalation and those working to end it – to enable the National Oil Corporation to resume its vital work, with full transparency.
The US also urged all Libyan parties to implement a demilitarized solution for Sirte and Jufra, respect the UN arms embargo, and finalize a ceasefire under the UN-led 5+5 military talks.
