Libya’s Red Crescent recovers six bodies trapped in Al-Sidra

The spokesman for the Red Crescent Tripoli office Asaad Jafar said the volunteers had recovered six bodies trapped in Al-Sidra area.

Jafar told Libya Alahrar that the bodies were recovered in coordination with the offices of Red Crescent in Tarhouna and Misrata.

According to the media office of Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation, the bodies had been trapped in the area for 17 days and they are for a pregnant woman, 14-year-old girl, and four men – all bearing gunfire marks.

The media office posted three days ago videos showing the spots where the bodies were after being targeted by Khalifa Haftar’s militias while trying to leave their houses.

It added that its fighters tried to recover the bodies more than once but couldn’t because they were shot at by Haftar’s militias.

The media office explained that the Anti-terrorism and Special Deterrence forces provided security support for the Red crescent to recover the bodies in areas in Haftar militias’ shooting range.

It called on all the displaced families not to return to their houses yet as Haftar’s militias were trying to seize any chance for retaliation.
