The ambassador of the United Sates (US) to Libya, Richard Norland has condemned the recent terrorist attack in the south of Libya and expressed condolences to the families of the victims and those killed in the fighting.
The US supports efforts to safeguard Libya’s sovereignty by combatting terrorism, improving security in the south and border region, and unifying the country’s military forces.
On Friday, the spokesman for Khalifa Haftar’s militias, Ahmed Al-Mismari, announced that four of “General Command” forces were killed by whom he described ISIS assailants.
Al-Mismari said the “General Command” forces clashed with ISIS fighters in Gatroun, south of Libya, killing 24 of them as four others blew themselves up at the scene of clashes.
