Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation of the Government of National Accord said Saturday that seven of its military engineers had been injured in explosions of mines planted by Khalifa Haftar’s terrorist militias in areas from which they pulled out in south Tripoli.
The injuries come after a similar one that took place last Thursday when Colonel Fathi Al-Housh, who works for the military engineering unit at the General Staff, and a number of his companions were wounded as they tried to dismantle and remove mines planted in freed neighborhoods in southern Tripoli.
After Haftar’s militias withdrew from southern Tripoli frontlines, they had left hundreds of IEDs and mines planted in houses and backyards, which the Libyan Government of National Accord and international organizations, including the UNSMIL.
