Libya, Tunisia agree to boost bilateral cooperation

The Tunisian President, Kais Saied, arrived in Libya’s capital, Tripoli, on Wednesday in a first visit of a Tunisian President since 2012.

Saied met with the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and discussed exchanging expertise and boosting bilateral cooperation via meetings of the joint high committees.

Saied and Menfi agreed on boosting trade exchanges between Libya and Tunisia as well as putting in place a work-plan for activating investments and facilitating travel procedures for the citizens of the two counties, in addition to financial cooperation between the Central Banks of Libya and Tunisia.
