Italy tops the list of Libya’s trading partners

Italy topped the list of Libya’s trade partners this year, according to the United Nations’ ESCO website, with trade exchanges estimated at thirteen billion dollars.

The strong trade relations between the two countries include a range of diverse vital fields such as oil and gas, construction, and manufacturing industries.

During the activities of the Trans-Mediterranean Migration Forum, the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce pointed out the importance of intensive cooperation between Libyan and Italian economic institutions to confront the challenges facing the Libyan banking system, including difficulties in transferring funds, in order to enhance Libyan economic stability in the coming years.
