The National Safety Authority announced the control of fires that broke out in one of Ras Al Hilal’s forests on Tuesday.
Amid appeals, citizens’ cameras documented the arrival of families and private truck owners to participate in extinguishing the fire.
This is not the first time that fires have devoured a forest in the Green Mountain area, as more widespread fires broke out at the end of last May in the Shahat Forest, during which approximately 350 trees (cypress, pine, eucalyptus, almonds and olives) were damaged, according to local sources.
