Al-Mishri says HCS and HoR are keen on consultations

The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri has said the HCS is keen on building bridges with the House of Representatives (HoR) to build trust and continue consultations for the future of the political process.

Al-Mishri added in media statements on Wednesday that the HCS is keen on carrying out direct consultations with the HoR as it believes that elections and political process can only go through by the efforts of Libyans.

He also reiterated that the push for holding elections on December 24 was more by western countries for certain reasons rather than by Libyan parties on the ground as the latter lacked consensus.
