The Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte emphasized that Italy is in favor of a political solution and dialogue in Libya.
Stating that there is a civil war and a proxy war in Libya, Conte said that Italy has interests in Libya in the past and today, but Rome is not a party to the conflict and doesn’t agree to participate in proxy wars.
Conte also said that although the alliance seems to be going through a weak period compared to the past, it is a solid alliance in every way, praising Turkey’s role in it, saying it is still effective in many areas and has strategic importance.
