The Nicaraguan newspaper La Prensa has revealed that three charter flights were operating from Libya to Managua, Nicaragua, during the last month, despite American warnings, the last of which was on Wednesday.
The newspaper added that a Ghadames Airline plane with a capacity of 400 passengers departed from Mitiga International Airport and landed at Augusto Sandino Airport.
La Prensa pointed to the operation of two flights last May from Benghazi, in light of news regarding the smuggling of migrants to American territory.
The newspaper mentioned that these flights were not registered like other international flights, pointing out that Washington had issued warnings to airlines and charter flight operators against having smuggling networks exploiting transportation services for human trafficking activities through Managua.
