France’s embassy in Libya has reiterated that it is time to fulfill the desire of the Libyan people for change and the sovereignty of their country.
The French embassy said in a tweet Wednesday that a unified executive authority is necessary for Libya to move forward to hold national elections on December 24, 2021.
The French embassy added that it “wishes the advisory committee of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum that is working under the auspices of the UN Support Mission in Libya success in its meetings in Geneva.
The advisory committee of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) is holding meetings in Geneva. The meetings will last till next Saturday with the aim if putting forward proposals for the mechanism of selecting new executive authority.
