Libya, WHO agree on developing healthcare system

Officials of the Libyan Government of National Unity and the World Health Organization (WHO) reached Tuesday an agreement to develop the Libyan healthcare system in such areas as emergency services, rural hospitals and children healthcare.

Priorities and necessary medical supplies of COVID-19 isolation centers in Libya were discussed during the meeting between Libya’s Minister of Health Ali Zanati and Elizabeth Hoff, WHO representative in Libya, according to the Libyan Ministry of Health.

The Libyan Ministry of Health added in a statement that the two sides had agreed to provide HIV medicines sufficient for 6 months.
