Libya’s GNA agrees to activate military MoU with Turkey, accepts military support offer from Ankara

A source from the Government of National Accord (GNA) has told Libya Alahrar TV that the Prime Ministry Council of the GNA has unanimously approved activating the implementation of the military MoU signed with Turkey and has accepted the Turkish offer of effective support.

The source indicated that the decision was made in an extraordinary meeting on Thursday in Tripoli, where several military commanders and GNA officials were present.

Earlier, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed more than once Ankara’s readiness to send military forces to Libya if the GNA so requested.
