Qatar News Agency has reported that the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh has met with the Emir of Qatar Shiekh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha.
The news agency added that the Qatari Emir reiterated in the meeting on Sunday the firm stance of Doha in support of the Libyan people and their aspiration for the unity of Libya.
Meanwhile, Saleh thanked Emir Tamim and Qatar for the continuous support given to Libya and the Libyan people.
Saleh, accompanied by a delegation that included Khalifa Haftar’s son, Belgassem, arrived on Saturday in Doha and were received by the Head of the Qatari Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanem and other officials.
The meeting saw also discussions on boosting cooperation between Libya and Qatar, the latest developments in Libya and the region.
