Libya’s Interior Minister, Head of UNSMIL discuss reform of security sector

Libya’s Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha held talks via video conference on Sunday with the Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Williams, to discuss Libyan plans to reform the security sector. 

Bashagha said on Twitter that the Interior Ministry is determined to move forward in implementing the reform programs in the security sector.

He also added that the reforms must be locally-designed and nationwide under the Libyan leadership for the security and welfare of the citizens.
