The Head of Libya’s Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, arrived in Algeria on Wednesday for his first official visit to the North African neighboring country.
Algerian Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane welcomed Menfi upon arrival at Algiers Airport, the state television said, adding that during his two-day visit, Menfi will meet with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for talks on bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Libya and Algeria are neighbors and share borders with crisis-hit Tunisia, where Tunisian President Kais Saied on Sunday ousted the government and froze parliament.
