The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) has denied the hacking of the voter registration system, adding that all of the systems operated by its teams are secure and protected.
The HNEC added in a statement on Tuesday that the news circulating on social media and media outlets aimed to disrupt the election process and take away the political rights of voters.
“We urge all media outlets not to rush into publishing rumors and to be professional as well as to authenticate news beforehand to help raise electoral awareness.” The HNEC said.
