The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, received Saturday the credentials of the new Turkish ambassador, Kenan Yilmaz, in Tripoli, stressing the importance of boosting cooperation between the two countries.
The Head of the Presidential Council welcomed the Turkish ambassador and hailed the relationship between the two brotherly nations, vowing to preserve the interests of the two countries during the tenure of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Unity.
Menfi reiterated the importance of the return of Turkish firms to resume work in Libya, especially the suspended projects, and to take part in reconstruction projects.
Menfi said that a high ranking delegation of the Government of National Unity will visit Turkey on Monday and will discuss all issues and areas of cooperation with Ankara.
The Turkish ambassador expressed gratitude for the Libyan government’s credentials presentation ceremony and vowed that his country would work with the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity to boost cooperation and bilateral relations.
Yilmaz reiterated Turkey’s support for the new executive authority as it did with the previous government to sustain the country’s security and stability.
