The Acting Head of the UN Mission to Libya, Stephanie Khoury, discussed with the Presidential Council member Musa Al-Koni the current political situation and the urgent economic and security aspects.
Regarding the meeting, Khoury said: “I expressed my appreciation for the vision presented regarding the political situation in the country, maintaining the ceasefire and enhancing the provision of services to various regions of Libya, especially in the south.”
In a meeting with Presidential Council member Abdullah Al-Lafi, Khoury discussed the current impasse and ways to move the political process forward.
Khoury stressed the importance of comprehensive national reconciliation, as well as encouraging an effective and active civil society and advancing human rights.
