Director of the Complaints Unit at Ras Jadir crossing, Fawzi Fetais, reported that passenger traffic has returned to normal after it stopped as a result of the closure of the Abu Kamash coastal road.
In a statement to Libya Al-Ahrar, Fetais added that the closure came after the injury of a person from the city of Zuwara following clashes between a group of travelers and the law enforcement force. He confirmed that the problem was resolved after communicating with the security services, the Security Directorate, and notables of the city.
Fetais pointed out that traffic had stopped at noon on Saturday, after Libyan passenger cars were attacked in the Tunisian city of Ben Guerdane.
The Ras Jadir border crossing was reopened at the beginning of this month, as new security arrangements were put in place, more than 3 months after it was closed as a result of the turbulent security conditions at the crossing.
