The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said he was sorry that some parties didn’t sign the ceasefire agreement in Moscow on Monday, referring to Khalifa Haftar.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry said earlier that Haftar was positive toward the signing of the ceasefire agreement but he needed two more days to do some local consultations.
The Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammed Sayala also commented on the issue saying Russia told the Government of National Accord (GNA) that it was pressuring Haftar to sign the ceasefire agreement.
Sayala added on Tuesday that the pressure by Haftar’s allies on him hindered the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Moscow.
Meanwhile, Libya Alahrar obtained a copy of the ceasefire agreement which was signed by the Government of National Accord (GNA) in Moscow.
The terms of the agreement include confirmation that all parties commit to the sovereignty of Libya and that there is not military solution in Libya.
The agreement called for ensuring consolidating the ceasefire and specifying lines of battle of contact among the fighting parties, in addition to ensuring delivery of humanitarian assistance to all the people in need in the country.
It added that all parties should take the necessary measures to stabilize Tripoli and allow people to lead a normal life in Tripoli and other area.
The ceasefire agreement also says that there will be a 5+5 military commission in Libya to monitor the ceasefire.
