The spokesman for the Sirte-Jufra Operations Room, Abdelhadi Drah, confirmed Wednesday that one person from Tarhouna was killed and four others were injured in clashes that took place in “Neighborhood 02” in Sirte – Central Libya.
Drah told Libyan Alahrar TV that pro-Haftar Brigade 166 had carried out an attack on a location for a number of Al-Kani-linked militiamen as well as individuals from Wershiffana area, leading to an exchange of fire using light and medium weapons.
Drah also indicated that tensions were still high in Sirte as the area, where the clashes occurred, was encircled by military police and Brigades 128 and 166, while Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte was shutdown.
Meanwhile, Libya’s Army Burkan Al-Ghadab Operation published a video on its social media platforms showing part of the clashes among Haftar’s militias at “Neighborhood 02” in Sirte.
