The President of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, commended the efforts of the State of Qatar in bringing the views of the Libyan parties closer together to achieve a national consensus leading to holding elections.
This came during a meeting in Doha with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, where they discussed ways to develop and enhance joint relations in various fields to serve the interests of the two countries.
The two parties reviewed issues of common interest, most notably the Palestinian issue, with the aim of coordinating efforts between Libya and Qatar in the international arena to support the Palestinian people and achieve stability and peace in the entire region.
