UN-led 5+5 Libyan military talks to discuss implementation of ceasefire

The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) is going to lead talks for the Libyan 5+5 military commission in Ghadames for the three coming days starting Monday, the UNSMIL said in a statement.

UNSMIL said the three-day talks of the delegations of the Government of National Accord and warlord Khalifa Haftar will focus on mechanisms to implement the ceasefire on the ground in Libya.

The UN mission added that the 5+5 talks in Ghadames will discuss the concrete methods on the ground to monitor and consolidate the ceasefire in Libya.

Libyan 5+5 military commission reached an agreement in October in Geneva on a permanent ceasefire and departure of foreign mercenaries from the country in no more than three months.
