WHO initiates specialized training in flood struck areas

The World Health Organization (WHO), in cooperation with the Libyan Ministry of Health, is providing a training program for dozens of medical personnel working in health centers in the city of Derna which was hit by floods last September.

The organization added that the program provided training on psychological first aid in times of stress to provide basic psychological support to people in need.

The WHO indicated that this initiative comes within the efforts to respond to mental health resulting from the catastrophic floods that struck the city of Derna and the eastern regions last year.
