30 foreign delegations arrive in Libya’s Tripoli to attend stability conference

30 delegations from different foreign countries have arrived in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to attend the ministerial conference to discuss “Libya Stability Initiative” and reiterate support for holding elections on time next December.

Foreign Ministers of France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Greece, Tunisia, Sudan, Qatar, have arrived along with delegations from the United States, United Kingdom, United Nations, European Union, African Union and the Arab League.

More delegations are yet to arrive in the Libyan capital to attend the ministerial conference that is going to be held at Corinthia Hotel in downtown Tripoli.

The main objectives of the ministerial meeting in Tripoli will revolve around the “Libya Stability Initiative” which has security and military track as well as an economic track.

The conference is set to mainly touch upon efforts to support Libya for holding general elections on time next December and support the 5+5 Joint Military Commission to implement the ceasefire agreement, especially the withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries.
