Libya announces the possibility of foreigners obtaining an electronic visa

The Government of National Unity announced the possibility of foreigners applying electronically to obtain a Libyan visa starting from Thursday.

The government announced through its online platform that May 1 will be the date for launching the electronic visa for expatriate workers in Libya after completing all procedural and legal steps related to the work visa.

For his part, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa said that this system was established in cooperation with the Telecommunications Holding Company, the Passports and Nationality Authority and the General Information Authority, pointing out that it is the first of its kind in Libya.

The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, confirmed that this step will eliminate bureaucracy and fraud and contribute to organizing expatriate workers.
