The British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, discussed with Khalifa Haftar in Benghazi the need to address the divisions that cause great harm to Libya’s security, stability and prosperity, according to the British Embassy.
The Ambassador emphasized in his meeting that missing the opportunity to realize the full potential of the country would be a disastrous tragedy.
In another meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Al-Qubba, he indicated that settlement and consensus would provide a more stable basis for Libya’s future than any unilateral effort to impose a political solution.
