Libyan HoR’s Energy Committee: NOC Board headed by Sanalla is the only legitimate body

The Energy and Natural Resources Committee of the Libyan House of representatives (HoR) issued a statement reiterating that the only legitimate board of directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) is that headed by Mustafa Sanalla.

The committee added in a statement on Thursday that the decisions of the “previous government of national unity” are dubious political deals that aim to worsen the crises and lead to deterioration of the Libyan economy, thus squandering the only revenues the Libyan state and people are making.

“The decisions and orders of the ex-government of national unity are null and void.” The statement reiterated.

These remarks came after Sanalla had rejected the decision to be sacked by Dbeibah and replaced by Frahat Bengdara. Sanalla lashed out on both Dbeibah and Bengdara, accusing them of working to control the oil revenues for the benefit of the UAE.
