The acting mayor of Kufra, Masoud Suleiman, called on the security and medical services and the Red Crescent to take all precautionary measures due to the expected weather fluctuations in the coming days.
Suleiman explained in a statement that heavy rainfall is expected in the municipality and the surrounding areas.
He stressed the importance of the Electricity Distribution Department in Kufra shutting down the network during rainfall, as the network is not prepared to operate in unstable weather conditions, according to the municipality’s statement.
