The Libyan ambassador to the United Nations Taher El Sonni said the absence of popular movements on the streets as well as organized and united national political parties led to tying Libya’s future to the consensus of foreign stakeholders.
El Sonni said on Twitter that the countries intervening in Libya’s affairs will have contradictory interests with any ray of hope for stability in the country or any attempt for Libya to regain its sovereignty.
The Libyan ambassador to the UN also called for ending the current negativity toward the Libyan crisis, expressing hopes for the Libyan youth in the future.
