Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Ali Al-Abed, met with his Qatari counterpart Ali Al-Marri to discuss joint cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting also involved the preparation of a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries to benefit from Qatar’s experience in organizing foreign labor and workers’ housing, according to the ministry. The meeting also addressed the conditions of Libyan workers in Qatar and the procedures to be followed to maintain their privileges and rights.
The two sides confirmed also their full support for the rights of Palestinian workers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, especially in the current situation.
