The spokesman for the Libyan Army, Mohammed Gununu, has confirmed that the forces of the Government of National Accord have shot down a Wing Loong drone provided by the UAE to Khalifa Haftar’s militias.
Gununu said Sunday that the Wing Loong was loaded with missiles to target civilian locations in the vicinity of Abu Grein town.
Gununu also indicated that the drone is part of the military support given by the UAE to war criminal Haftar and his terrorist militias.
In the meantime, the spokesman for Sirte-Jufra operations room Abdelhadi Drah told Libya Alahrar TV that GNA forces had left several militia fighters either killed or injured as artillery shelling hit their positions in Al-Wishka coastal road.
