Libya’s Minister-designate of Interior reviews security cooperation with Tunisian President

The Libyan Interior Minister-designate, Emad Al-Trabelsi, has arrived in Tunisia to meet with President Kais Saied, and discuss a number of issue of joint interests of the two neighboring countries.

The Libyan Interior Ministry said on Monday that Al-Trabelsi and Saied reviewed security cooperation between Libya and Tunisia.

It also indicated that the discussions touched upon the reopening of Ras Ajdair border crossing between the two countries.

Ras Ajdair border was closed following the latest shutdown due to armed clashes and fragile security on the Libyan side. A joint force was formed to tackle the security unrest on the border.
