The municipality of Tajoura, east of Tripoli, has decided to impose a complete lockdown within its administrative borders for two weeks starting 6.00 PM Tuesday in an attempt to ward off any possible outbreak of Coronavirus.
In a statement on Monday, the municipality of Tajoura excluded from the lockdown pharmacies, medical laboratories, clinics and hospitals, as well as security, police and military apparatuses.
The decision imposes fines of 3000 Libyan dinars for anyone who violates the lockdown regulations and curfew hours, according to the statement.
This comes after the Libyan Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord has decided to impose a curfew on all of Libya. The curfew started Sunday. It is not possible for people to be outside from 6.00 PM to 6.00 AM every day, according to the curfew process.
