Security Council urges Libyans to reach ceasefire agreement as soon as possible

The United Nations Security Council has called on “the two parties of the conflict in Libya” to reach a ceasefire as soon as possible so the political process can begin.

In a statement on Wednesday, the UN Security Council welcomed the conclusions of Berlin conference on Libya, which was held on Sunday.

The UN Security Council also urged all Libyan parties to constructively participate in the 5+5 Military Commission in order to sign the ceasefire agreement as soon as possible.
