Turkish Foreign Minister slams France’s stance in Libya

The Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mavlut Cavusoglu, said the internationally recognized Government of National Accord is gaining more ground in battle areas and achieving military victories, while warlord Khalifa Haftar is attacking civilians in retaliation.

Cavusoglu, in an interview with TRT, criticized France’s stance in Libya, saying Turkey can understand why Egypt and the UAE are supporting warlord Haftar, but it cannot come to grips with why an EU country and a NATO member like France is supporting Haftar.

The Turkish Foreign Minister added in his interview with TRT that Haftar’s militias couldn’t carry out their aggression on Tripoli after the intervention of Turkey.
